house, it remains just as it was before his death. Exhibits include his

Yumeji's atelier in Tokyo, designed by him in 1924, has been reproduced
here to mark the 95th year of his birth. Through the framed photographs

Seto-no-Akebono (Sunrise of Seto) |

The breathtakingly beautiful sunrise seen from this area was praised in
a poem composed by Taira no Tadamori, and was included in the Gyokuyo anthology
of the Heian era (794-1192). The "Seto-no-Akebono" refers specifically
to the sunrise on the 210th day of the year (usually around September 1st).
This area is also famed for its sunrise on New Year's Day. |

Ipponmatsu Observatory Garden boasts of the most spectacular landscape
along the Blue Line. It's a place where parents and children can have fun
together on rides like the cycle cars and a miniature railroad that runs
through the railway park. |

The Yu-Yu Koryukan Mall, located at the Kuroisan Green Park on the Okayama
Blue Line, sells mainly seasonal fresh vegetables and fruits. For souvenir
shopping, this is the place to go. The art gallery is quite a cultural

region was founded in 749 (Tempyo era). The main hall was rebuilt in 1714

Joenji Temple is widely known as a temple associated with Yumeji Takehisa.
With rows of temples including the Tahoto Pagoda, the temple grounds create

Kadota Shell Mound Historical Site Park |

Here you'll find the ruins of historical settlements, left on a natural
embankment on the eastern shore of the Yoshii River. Historical reproductions
of shell mounds and pit dwellings have made this park popular as a government-designated
historical site. |
