Honrenji Temple |

Honrenji Temple is a Hokke-shu temple with a beautiful three-storied pagoda;
Korean missionaries were entertained here. The main hall, inner gate and
Banshindo hall, built in the Muromachi era, have been designated as national
cultural properties. |

Ushimado Shrine |

The 364-storied stone steps near the Ushimado Swimming Beach compose the
main entrance path to the shrine. The observatory standing between the
entrance and the main hall offers a panoramic view from the calm Seto Inland
Sea to the mountains of Shikoku. |

At 130m, on the way up to the top of the mountain from the old rock quarry
(once used, incidentally, for preparing rocks for the stone walls of Osaka
Castle) stands the wooden observatory, from which you can admire a panoramic
view of the Ushimado Port and the mainland mountain range. |
