Futatsukayama kofun, one of a set of keyhole-shaped burial mounds (zenpō kōenfun) that surround Ushimado harbor. Its horizontal tunnel-type stone burial chamber, built in the ‘katasode’ style, is located in the rear circular portion of the mound and measures around 7m long by 2m wide and over 1.7m in height. Based on the shape of the burial chamber and typologies of the clay haniwa figures and Sue ware excavated from the kofun, it is thought to have been built in the latter half of the 6th century.
